CCC Legacy Journal

Publication

America's Only CCC Publication

The CCC Legacy Journal represents a singular historical publication in America. Currently published quarterly, this document features articles on the Civilian Conservation Corps, organizational activities preserving CCC heritage, and matters of importance to the membership.

The publication reaches a distinctive audience: CCC veterans, their families, historians, researchers, agency personnel, and heritage advocates — all united by a commitment to honoring those who served in the Corps.

Material comes from diverse contributors. Alumni enthusiastically share personal experiences, revealing "snippets of the CCC experience that teach all of us about the Great Depression and its impact on America's youth." Historical articles accompany current events promoting CCC heritage awareness.

History

A Record Dating to 1978

The journal originated in 1978 as the National Association of CCC Alumni (NACCCA) Journal, documenting alumni activities for over three decades. Since 2008, it has operated under the CCC Legacy Journal name while maintaining its original mission: supplying heritage information to advocates and keeping the alumni community connected.

As an 80th-anniversary tribute, the organization digitized all NACCCA and CCC Legacy Journal volumes into searchable PDF format — preserving nearly five decades of CCC community history. USB drives containing this complete collection are available for purchase through the office.

"The journal is the thread that holds the CCC Legacy community together — personal accounts, research findings, and organizational news in a single publication that exists nowhere else in America."
