Tours are an interesting facet of every NACCCA Reunion.  Becoming familiar with the locale and area CCC projects expand our understanding of the massive legacy of the CCC in America.

Custer State Park

Custer State Park - Norbeck Visitors Center Norbeck Visitors Center - Custer State Park

Built by CCC Company #1793 in 1934, the Custer State Park Museum still stands as a tribute to the ingenuity and hard work of the CCC.  Named after Peter Norbeck, former South Dakota Governor and Senator, the center reflects his concern for natural resource conservation.  (Click to enlarge Photos)

Camp Custer, CCC Camp F-12, Company 1792- Remnants of the camp still remain.  In the cluster of three privately owned buildings, only the original Camp Custer Officer's Cabin remains relatively unchanged and serves as a bed and breakfast. Camp Custer Log Cabin www.custerLcabin.com
