This tool was found among some CCC artifacts.  What is it?

It is always nice to see old friends and make new acquaintances.  In between tours and meetings there is always time to visit.  The hospitality room was the hub of activity and visitors could enjoy displays of books, artifacts, and "information for sharing".

All bundled up and waiting for the bus:

Breakfast at the hotel - Getting nourished for a busy day of touring.

Breakfast..is also food for thought. Discussing the plans of the day.

First greetings around the pool; however, no takers for a "quick dip".

Texas, Arizona, & Missouri converge at the pool.

Donation from Texas helps to fund event. LaVaughn Greer of Ft. Worth, TX, donated an afghan that was raffled off and the proceeds went to support reunion activities.   The afghan was won by Marie Eier of Idaho who showed-off her newly-won trophy by wrapping herself in the beautiful dark green, burgundy, and white handiwork.

LaVaughn - Thanks for sharing with South Dakota Gee, Marie, you look great!

Kathy & Verle, NACCCA 123 winnerKathy Mays Smith, TX, NACCCA Chapter 123, donated her unique gift to support the CCC Reunion --  A "Boony Hat".  This camouflage military hat was embroidered with the initials of "CCC" in English and Arabic.

Winner, Debby, is modeling her new boony hat.

Debby Krenrich was the winner of the boony hat at the National Reunion.

Ti at work in Iraq. Next time you see a soldier, say "Thank you". The boony hat is commonly worn among the soldiers in Iraq and was a gift from Kathy's son,1LT Titus Brown, who was serving in Iraq.  Thanks from all of us CCC enthusiasts for serving our country.

Three cheers for Ti !

Kathy is a proud blue star Mom:  "He is truly patriotic, and I am very proud of him.  He was named Outstanding Citizenship Education Teacher by VFW Post 3377 and District 28 Outstanding Citizenship Education Teacher after he was activated."
