Shenandoah Preservation League Presents 2006 Awards

CCC Legacy Foundation among the recipients

Each year the Shenandoah Preservation League based out of Woodstock, Virginia presents their "Excellence in Preservation Award".  This year the CCC Legacy Foundation is proud to be among four recipients to receive this honor.  Recipients are selected from a variety of preservation fields.

Dan Harshman, for his vision in nurturing an appropriate model for historic Edinburg and for his perseverance in working to make that vision a reality

Leo Bernstein, a Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Preservation.  Over the past five decades, Mr. Bernstein has purchased, restored, and saved numerous historic buildings for their communities. Among them the Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood, the Wayside Inn in Middletown, the Battletown Inn in Berryville, and the Hotel Strasburg.]  He founded the Wayside Foundation in 1986 to "encourage and enhance public appreciation, enjoyment, and knowledge of American History and Arts."  - Unable to attend - photo not available
