The appreciation of CCC heritage should not be limited to those who remember the depression, nor, should membership in CCC Legacy.

After WWII ended and the men of the CCC started returning home with new found skills and experiences, they set the tone for the great economic boom as the 1950s rolled into view.  The CCC was never funded again letting it flat-line and fade away.

Many of our CCC alumni had different ideas.  Over the years they have fought hard and have kept the light of CCC legacy alive in the form of modern corps.   Along the way, legislators,  Department of Labor, conservation, and recreational agencies have all come forward at different levels of support and understanding.  Each time raising the bar and developing a continuing evolution for fostering the long term value of the Corps experience.

As the evolution of the Corps experience moves forward so must CCC Legacy.  To begin building for the future, the Board of CCC Legacy has approved the expansion of CCC membership categories to include current Conservation Corps, organizations and agencies.  In this fast paced economic environment everyone is affected and must meet the challenge of the times.

As we experience the peaks and valleys of today's economy, CCC Legacy is stepping out to broaden our capabilities for the future.
