Corps meets Corps- Coming together for youth development
"Strengthening America through service and conservation"
The Corps Network
The Corps Network (formerly known as National Association of Service Conservation
Corps) was established in 1985. Its purpose was to create a federal focus for already created
state funded youth corps programs. Through the sharing of
information and developing partnerships, national attention was
brought to the emerging youth corps movement. Today there are 113 different corps that are included under the
Corps Network umbrella and
they have also been instrumental in securing federal funding for corps
programs. Americorps is the most familiar.
The Corps Network recognizes its roots in the CCC program in a new PBS
documentary that was premiered at a special reception on September 13,
2006.
A small contingent of CCC alumni and supporters gathered to watch
the premier, visit with friends and greet new partners.

With the development of the video, The Corps Network launched a public
outreach program to serve as a catalyst to encourage communities to
get involved in the service corps process.
