Note from the President:

The Board of Directors has elected the nominating committee that will oversee the nomination process for the 2009 Board of Directors.  In accordance with the bylaws thee non-board members were elected by the Board to coordinate the nomination  process.

In order to accommodate the national scope of our organization, expanding the  management of the CCC Legacy to potential future leaders is an important part of securing our organizational health and the CCC heritage.  CCC Legacy is a major contributor to national history.  Let us not forget our mission to "pass the legacy to future generations."

Any member in good standing can express their interest to serve on the Board.  If your personal circumstances, don't allow you to participate, perhaps you know of another member who would be a good candidate to serve our members.

Joan Sharpe, President

CCC Legacy Nominating Committee Chair

As the organization moves past the 75th anniversary, we are reaching out to CCC members across the U.S. and encouraging them to “make a difference” by influencing our long term goals by becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors.  The Nominating Committee wishes to develop a slate of no fewer than seven (7) and no more than fourteen (14) candidates for the Board.  Candidates must demonstrate their intent to serve by submitting their candidacy to the Nominating Committee.

According to the organization’s Bylaws, potential candidates must submit the following:

  • A brief resume of experience.
  • Contributions you can bring to the organization.
  • A description telling why you want to serve on the management team of a nationally prominent historical organization.

You must be a member of CCC Legacy in good standing, and express your “intent to serve” by submitting the items listed above by the deadline of May 21, 2008 . If you are a member and know someone else who might qualify as a candidate, please encourage that person to submit paperwork to the Nominating Committee.  We are asking all members to join in our effort to secure the CCC Legacy by participating.

 Submit paperwork to:
